What We Believe We are a New Testament Church (Heb. 10:24-25; 1 Tim. 4:11-16) Reaching out to our local community in the Sacramento Area.s We are a world outreach church through our missions support ministry. Ministries or countries you support thru your giving. About the Bible We believe that the Bible is divinely inspired and is the revealed will of God. (2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Deut. 4:1-2) About God We believe in the triune godhead of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matt. 28:18-20; Luke 3:21-22; 2 Cor. 13:14) We believe God created the universe by His power and Word. We believe that God is all knowing, all powerful, and ever present. About Jesus Christ We believe that Jesus was the Son of God and sent by God the Father into the world to save sinners. We believe that Jesus died for our sins and rose from the dead victoriously. We believe that He ascended to His Father’s side where He is the head of the church. We believe Jesus Christ is returning back to earth personally, visibly, and bodily to reign as Lord. (1 Cor. 15:3-4; Acts 2:22-28; Acts 13:28- 38; John 1:1-3, 14; Matt. 1:18-23; Heb. 1:1-3, 8-9; 1 John 3:5) About Salvation We believe that to receive salvation, one must be born again according to John 3:3 and Romans 10:9-10. We believe that all who have received Christ will at death depart to be with Christ in their spirits and at Christ’s return receive a new body which will be like His glorious body. About the Holy Spirit We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. (Acts 1:4-5, 8; Acts 2:4; Acts 10:44-46; Acts 19:2-6) We believe that all believers are endowed with certain spiritual gifts. (Rom. 12:1-8, 1 Cor. 12:18-28) About Baptism We believe that all believers should be water baptized as commanded in the Scriptures. (Matt. 28:19; Acts 10:47-48) ABOUT US About the Church We believe a New Testament church is a local body of baptized believers who have agreed together to worship Jesus Christ, edify the believers, evangelize the lost, and minister to others. (Heb. 10:24-25; 1 Tim. 4:11-16) The church has two ordinances: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. Baptism symbolizes the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the new life we have in Him. The Lord’s Supper is a reminder of Christ’s death and anticipates His Second Coming. Copyright © 2011 jubileesacramentovalleychurch.org. All rights reserved.
